A new aesthetic laser clinic group has been launched by Anna McCartney, former senior director of global partnerships at HydraFacial, with plans to roll out 10 sites this year.

Élan Laser Clinics Group has secured multi-million-pound investment to fund the ambitious roll out.

The group will aim to combine the medical-grade technology with a luxury spa-like experience, bringing together advanced skin treatment technology with the skills of highly trained therapists.

The business, which will be headquartered in Leeds, currently has one clinic already open in Parramatta, Australia.

In the UK, the group is targeting the opening of 10 clinics by the end of 2022, creating around 70 jobs. Élan also had plans to also build its presence further in Australia.

McCartney said, “We are fortunate to have the backing of international private investors to support our ambitious business plan which will see our first three British clinics open in the north of England by the summer, with a further seven expected across the UK by the end of the year.

“We believe that Élan Laser Clinics can become the leading name in skin treatment in the UK and we are also rolling-out the concept internationally as we grow our presence in Australia, where we will be opening more clinics in the coming months.”

The clinics will offer a range of treatments, including laser hair removal and tattoo removal, facials, skin rejuvenation, fat freezing and body contouring.

McCartney said her previous clinic experience and background in operations, customer service and business development has led to her hands-on approach with this new venture.

“Having spent my entire career in the beauty and wellbeing industry, I have lots of knowledge of what to do, and also what not to do, to create the best clinic experience,” she said.

“I’m excited to be bringing these learnings to a new business where my passion and drive can make a real difference.”

McCartney added that she wants to create a luxury experience that is accessible to all clients, sharing that, “As well as being completely inclusive with treatments suitable for everyone, regardless of gender or ethnicity, we will also simplify pricing, offering complete packages for specific skin conditions, giving our therapists the freedom to offer bespoke treatment plans to meet the needs of our clients without incurring additional costs.”
