Aerolase launches the Exci308 to help fight common skin conditions.

Aerolase announced the launch of its new device in fighting common skin conditions in patients with skin of color. The Exci308 is a handheld phototherapy device that addresses such autoimmune conditions including vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, and leukoderma.1 Chesahna Kindred, MD, chair of the National Medical Association dermatology section, said, “I can now provide safe and effective phototherapy for a variety of conditions using a handheld device.”

Aerolase develops and manufactures portable high-power devices for dermatology and aesthetics applications.2. The company will seek clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for alopecia areata in 2023.
