As Marisa Martino, co-founder at Skinney Medspa, says, the popular destination for non-invasive treatments always strives to work with the most cutting-edge technology—and she’s confident the spa just brought on a solid one with the addition of EON to the menu this fall.
“EON is the very first touchless-permanent fat reduction technology FDA-cleared to treat the abdomen and flanks,” she explains. “We anticipate that it will soon be cleared for multiple other body parts, which is game-changing. I think it will bring in clients that are nervous about pain or downtime associated with other non-invasive technology.”
With the most recent Aesthetic Society statistics reporting that non-surgical procedures are up 44-percent in the past year, she’s most likely on to something and even goes as far to say that clients—including herself—are surprised with how pain-free and fast the treatment is. “The full abdomen can be treated in some cases for 30 minutes—with no downtime, no mess and results starting in just four weeks. Also, the heating element of the technology provides tissue remodeling great for post-baby laxity and stretch marks.”
Calling out the “stackable” factor (i.e., it can be paired safely with other menu options at the same time), COO Lindsay Malachowski says the touchless treatment is both “smart” and works well with others. “It works in conjunction with other fat reduction, cellulite and muscle stimulation devices to create a full-body transformation. Patients are always looking for new ways to reduce stubborn areas of fat and contour their bodies, and EON delivers an exceptional customer experience using futuristic robotic technology that scans the body to adapt the treatment area and zone.”
After scanning the treatment area this new “smart technology” uses custom treatment settings to create the most comfortable and effective treatment for the patient. “Patients have also reported that they find the EON treatment easier and more comfortable than other fat reduction treatments because the technology is touchless—there is no pulling or tugging of the skin. This touchless technology allows for a larger client selection as well as targeting hard-to-treat areas on the body without risk of overlap or double-treating treatment areas.”
And, as September quickly rolls on forward, Malachowski says the spa anticipates seeing men and women who are aged 25–55, healthy and generally fit, that are within 15–20 pounds of their goal weight, and looking to further contour their bodies coming in and asking for EON.
“Generally speaking, we are born with a certain amount of fat cells, and with diet and exercise, these fat cells shrink and expand. This is why, even through diet and exercise, patients can only achieve a certain level of results. EON permanently destroys up to 25-percent of fat cells using a heat based, 1064 laser that sends thermal energy into the adipose tissue—this technology appeals to patients that want a zero downtime, non-surgical treatment option. Even though the technology is heat-based, the skin stays cool throughout the process due to an air-cooling system.”
Plus, as Cooper Collins, CEO for EON calls out, there’s a new partnership that makes it even more “expansive.”
“We love working with Skinny Med Spa because they understand what it takes to make a MedSpa successful in today’s environment with extensive social media participation, a high level of customer service, and the ability to attract demographic-based consumers to all their locations,” he says. “In addition to all of this, Skinney has forged a partnership with SAKS Fifth Avenue, in doing so, expanding their brand and their partnerships for devices like EON to be available in major department store locations in New York, Miami and Houston.”
