Canadian-based hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler brand Prollenium® launched Revanesse® Outline in the UK last week at the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) conference.

Outline joins the brand’s already expansive Revenesse Collection of dermal filler products, each with its own unique properties distinguished by indications and uses. Each profile varies by particle size, cross-linking and additional linear or non-cross-linked HA.

At the BACN event, which took place in Manchester on 15 – 16 September, delegates got the chance to watch live demonstrations of the product in action.

While Revaness Contour and Shape are very thick in consistency and designed to be administered deep into the skin for chin and cheek contouring, Outline has been formulated to build definition and structure meaning it’s a great product for enhancing lips.

“There has been a little gap in our tool kit for our patients. Particularly, our patients whose heritage and ethnicity benefit from greater volume yet still want a beautifully natural result, says BACN board member and founder of FT Skin Clinics Frances Turner Trail.”

“We trailed Outline” on our patients for whom regular HA didn’t give the longevity we all hope for, considerably increasing our patient satisfaction.”

Prollenium says the product is smooth enough to integrate with the lip but strong enough to define a shape which holds.

Outline can also treat areas which require more structure, such as the chin or cheeks, or projection for a more voluminous lip used in larger quantities.

Original pioneer of the BACN and nurse practitioner, Lou Sommereux conducted one of the demonstrations on a 48-year-old woman and explained that she wanted structure without rigidity making Revaness Outline the best option.

“From just a small amount, the projection is beautiful,” explained Sommereux while injecting the product.

“What you see is what you get [with Revaness Outline] – so no need to tell patients that it will get better over time as there is minimal swelling and bruising.”

The Revanesse collection is created in small batches which Prollenium says allows for product consistency and precision control over manufacturing temperatures and cross-linking. The collection’s formula uses hyaluronic acid with a high molecular weight meaning the formula requires less BDDE in order to bind.

As the products are wet milled, they are smooth while being volumising and less prone to inflammatory responses.
