Aesthetic practitioner Dr Steven Land has launched The North East Aesthetics Forum (NEAF).

The forum was created to bring together medical aesthetic practitioners from across the region to discuss research, patient safety, training, complications, regulation and to provide educational talks from industry professionals, explains Dr Land.

Currently, NEAF has attracted speakers from Allergan Aesthetics UK and aesthetic practitioner Dr Tapan Patel. In October, NEAF also hosted debates led by dentist Brian McCleary on how to build a successful clinic and training academy as well as area sales manager at Sciton Jordan Sizer discussed advancements using light and laser technologies for treating skin pigmentation and resurfacing.

Dr Land commented, “I am a strong believer that all aesthetic practitioners should be medically trained and am committed to developing a support network of local practitioners through NEAF who can call upon each other for help and advice.”
