Aesthetic distributor DermaFocus has introduced its first polynucleotide and hyaluronic acid combination product to its portfolio.

The polynucleotide, NEWEST, contains hyaluronic acid, enabling practitioners to treat damaged and aged skin whilst regenerating fibroblasts for improved skin quality, explains the company.

Created by Italian manufacturer Mastelli, NEWEST can be used on the face, neck and décolletage. Meanwhile, new product NEWEST One is designed specifically for use on the body, and will be available soon.

NEWEST combines polynucleotide technology, known as PN-HPT, with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and mannitol, thereby increasing collagen and elastin production whilst hydrating and revolumising the skin, adds DermaFocus.

The product can be used to treat acne scarring, as well as skin damage and ageing. One study showed that skin elasticity improved by 39.6%, skin brightness was enhanced by 51.1% and wrinkles and skin roughness declined by 17.1% after three treatments with the product.

Kamran and Milad Bemana, co-founders of DermaFocus, said, “It is an absolute privilege to be able to introduce this innovative new brand to aesthetic practitioners here in the UK. There is currently nothing like NEWEST on the market, so practitioners can really benefit from having a regenerative tool that is truly unique and, importantly, effective for their patients.”
