Microneedling company SQT has added the SQT Bio-Microneedling to its portfolio.

According to the company, the FDA-approved device uses SQT Spongilla Spicules, a type of siliceous bio-microneedle that extracts from freshwater sponge. These stimulate the dermis of the skin and start skin surface microcirculation, improving capillary stoma blocking and accelerating natural exfoliation of the ageing cuticle.

The product is suitable for all skin types and can treat acne, acne scarring, pigmentation, pimples, large pores, blemishes and fine lines, adds SQT.

Director of SQT UK and Northern Ireland, Ashley Wady, said, “We are thrilled to introduce a new generation of collagen rejuvenation therapy in the form of SQT Bio-Microneedling to the UK market. With no acids, anaesthesia or skin breakage, and without the need for a space-consuming device or machine, this brand new form of microneedling promises to be completely game-changing to practitioners and patients alike.”
