Cutera demonstrated Secret™ RF and Secret™ PRO
The Aesthetic Medicine Live Headline Sponsor carried out live demonstrations on their stand, including their new patient focused branding ‘Secret by Cutera’.
Cutera has seen a surge in demand for radiofrequency microneedling (RF) in recent years as patients become more and more aware of its anti-ageing and general skin health benefits, a key driver in the interest they have seen from health care practitioners.
Secret™ RF and Secret™ PRO (addition of a CO2 fractional laser) stand out with the ultra-smooth motor technology, which uses a patented electronic mechanism to reduce unnecessary trauma and discomfort to the skin by delivering fine needles in and out of skin in a smooth motion. The gold-plated needles help to prevent any irritation to the skin.
“The Secret devices are customizable to individual patients, allowing users to change the treatment depth by 0.1ml increments, which increases precision and its safety profile. The CO2 within the device is another key difference with the Secret™ Pro, to get a good result with conventional CO2 you need an aggressive treatment which carries with it a lot of down time,” says Tim Taylor, Sales Manager Western Europe, Cutera.
“With Secret™ PRO, you can combine two gold-standard modalities to treat with a multi-layered approach: RF microneedling to stimulate deep in the dermis while keeping the CO2 laser light and focused on the epidermis.”
The company reveals the CO2 can be extremely gentle as it gives the ability to work through the full spectrum, allowing less experienced physicians to grow with their training and confidence in the device.

BTL showcased EMFACE for the first time in the UK
After a lot of excitement around EMFACE in the past weeks, BTL were busy presenting EMFACE for the first time in the UK. We spoke with Gabriele Coppola, Territory Sales Manager and Danni Nulty, Clinical Trainer at BLT about the technology:
“This new concept in the industry has been exceptional since its launch, showing phenomenal results regarding the non-surgical face lift and skin quality”, shares Coppola.
The technology, which is a synergistic product and marries our two different technologies, has received positive feedback from surgeons, doctors and clinics.
“EMFACE combines HIFES, which is electromagnetic and is all about repositioning, toning, and re-educating the facial muscles, which is your underlying structure so by strengthening and repositioning that it will give you a much better aesthetic result, says Nulty.
“We also work with monopolar radiofrequency, which is a powerful collagen stimulator, so we are working inside and outside at the same time, which is how we able to get such incredible results,” she adds.
