Lynton launches new courses across Levels 3 to 5

Lynton Lasers has launched a suite of new and updated courses to celebrate its 25th year in business.

The UK brand partners with the University of Manchester and various awarding bodies to deliver its courses from its training centre in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire or at a London location.

The new courses are available to all laser and IPL practitioners and enrolment is not dependent on the purchase of a Lynton system.

A new Level 3 course, Certificate in Principles of Cosmetic Practice, has been developed in conjunction with the Medical and Aesthetics Training Academy (MATA). It is designed to provide students with the underpinning knowledge and skills for safe and effective laser and IPL usage. Guidelines are delivered by CIBTAC.

At Level 4, Lynton has launched the Certificate in Laser and Light Therapies in Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation. The course is provided by VTCT and covers thread vessels, pigmentation, rosacea and skin rejuvenation. It will act as a pre-requisite for Lynton’s advanced Level 5 courses, including the Certificate in Tattoo Removal, which is also a new training offering.

Also in partnership with VTCT, the Level 5 Certificate in Tattoo Removal teaches the removal of professional and amateur tattoos and semi-permanent eyebrow make-up. The course consists of in-depth theory, alternative methods of removal, legislations and practical removal on 10 tattoos, among other content.

The Skin and Laser Applications course has been updated to offer three days of theory-based learning as well as hands-on training on a range of laser and light devices, with a fourth day available for additional applications including skin rejuvenation, stretch mark reduction and body shaping.

Finally, Lynton’s one-day Core of Knowledge course has also been updated, and covers the fundamentals of laser safety, regulations and light-tissue interactions.
